Barbell Looking for a routine outlined by Pavel .. or am I?

I might be way off on this one, but you guys or Pavel himself might be able to help me out here.

A while ago I am sure I did read somewhere that pavel recommended a routine or a sample routine containing of barbell presses and barbell deadlifts (and maybe one more exercise, pull-ups?). If I remember correctly it was something about the deadlift being a great exercise because it did save the knees and worked the hinge well, and the (push?)press was something about being a superior exercises for the upper body.

I do not know if I read this in a book, a site, forum, blog post or if I am imagine it all .. perhaps it was someone else who said this. I´ve looked through all my books by pavel and searched the web without any luck.

Please help me :)
