Author: Paul Tracogna
Paul Tracogna is a circus performer from Australia. Over the last fifteen years, he has performed worldwide as both a flying trapeze artist and now as a duo trapeze artist with his wife Adrienne. Their performance was awarded the Silver Elephant at the Nikulin Circus Festival in Moscow in 2017.
A voracious reader, Paul has always been drawn to the concepts of motor learning, biomechanics, sport psychology, and stress management in a performance setting. As a performer, he seeks to find interesting and innovative ways to execute new skills. As a coach, he tries to discover unique and efficient techniques of teaching high-level acrobatics, and to then find ways to relate those techniques to a broad scope of physical skills.
Paul can be reached through his website or via email at owlcat.trapeze@gmail.com
The principles of deliberate practice and desirable difficulties are widely researched and relevant to a range of sports. I will demonstrate their applicability to the field of circus performance, by way of a StrongFirst program.
