A somewhat regular (bi-monthly) Q&A with Pavel when he is back online would get my vote. Maybe question submissions could be upvoted and then the top 3-5 questions get answered in the forum.

Tim Ferriss does something similar and it leads to some really interesting insights.

Just a suggestion.

Sounds like a great idea. Another option would be for him to look at all the questions (or as many as he can) so he can pick out the ones he likes the best for a more unfiltered approach. But given his focus lately, it might be easier to get him on board with something quarterly.

I understand the want to talk to the man himself, but I think you might be under estimating the people who have had the privilege of being taught by the man himself. I think the answers to your questions might be answered just as wisely by these people. Does it mean more to have pavel give you advice or get the same advice from someone he's passed his knowledge on to? Why bother the man with questions that can be more than capablely be answered by people he's trusted & trained to pass on his work. Personally I'd rather he keep devoting his time to breaking new ground & experimenting with new methods to help us all achieve more than answer questions that anyone of his highly trained & certified people are more than capable of answering. Besides if you've read any of the old threads that pavel was still on line for you'd realise he didn't suffer fools & gave short very direct answers, whereas the quality people he trained had much more time & patience.

Any plans for something like this (Q&A or extended and updated interview) in future, or would Pavel to keep writing and researching?

A part 2 interview with Tim Ferriss would be great, discussing insights/work since.

I think it is a great idea, to engage with this dedicated community. It shouldn't be too long to distract him from other greater pursuits; 15-30 mins session (bi-)weekly should suffice. This needn't be interactive. This also does not mean we are not learning from others.

At least another podcast or interview with him, which I think is long overdue. would be awesome!

I hesitate to respond here, but @dc has this right, and I also want to add that, as an academic, I have an idea of the work that has gone into our Special Events. The manual for Second Wind, which I recently attended, is the equivalent of a doctoral dissertation, but unlike many of those, it's one in which there is zero fluff and all substance. I've been reading mine and I find myself stopping at times after every paragraph, just to try to take in fully what's been said. If you think about the work that went into and continues to go into that document, plus preparing the hours of presentation of that material, and multiply that - Strong Endurance, Plan Strong - and add in all the work that went into the recent releases of the updated S&S and the new Q&D, I am content that the Chief is doing at StrongFirst the things only he can do, and the rest of us are helping by doing those things we are able to do.

Steve,

So well put and this made me rethink a little. I’d much prefer I have material from Pavel that is as distilled as his outputs are. Clearly that takes time and considerable effort (along with experience). The recent S&S ‘update’, as one example, was really a total reworking. That alone must have taken much effort and refining.

Thanks for the perspective. You’ve facilitated me reframing mine.
