We have strengthshop here in Germany aswell. I don't know if I'd swing one of those heavy ones. At least in that picture the 56s and 64s handles look like they are going to break after a couple of reps...

I'm pretty sure those bells are purely for decoration. If I was going for super-heavy swings I'd be looking at getting a plate-loadable handle/core-blaster.

But the only thing you could do would be 2H-Swings.
I'd like to find a manufacturer that sells 48+ (52, 56, 60 etc.) competition KBs.
Rogue, KettlebellKings and Ader have some Monster Bells going up to 92Kg, but because they are cast iron the bodys of the KBs get so damn big that you can't really do presses, TGUs, carries etc. with them anymore. I even find the handle and body of my Rogue 44 and 48 to be too big to comfortably handle for a lot of exercises.

The KB in the vid seems to be custom made. It's not really bigger than a usual comp bell.

Yikes! I've got some work to do...

Thank you, Miguel. Indeed, we have everything from 4 kg to 48 kg here, most of them in at least quantity of 2, and they all do get used.

Yeah I have a 36,40,44,48 also. :D

@Harald Motz , figured I would include you, as I know you have some experience in the following...

Gentlemen, I'm looking to move up to a 44kg upon my return stateside. I would very much like it to be of a size and shape that allows for lots snatching and GUs. Smoothness/grittiness of the handle is not really a factor; after a few thousand snatches the handle will be smooth anyway. Any recommendations? Thanks for your time.

@Miguel , you can never go wrong with a Rogue bell, but there's a lot of good competition. The handles get thicker the heavier they get, so that may or may not be something you want.

If I was buying a 44 kg today, I'd go with Rep Fitness. Mine is Perform Better but fairly recent one - both are really just fine. The finish is what I'd call slightly rougher or grainier on the Rep Fitness, but honestly, if I pressed one overhead and then you asked me which brand it was, I wouldn't know the difference.

Rogue lost me $482 dollars total, sorry.

+1 for Rep Fitness

Rep's bell came in at $158... (Never touched a bell by these guys, but it comes highly recommended ^^^^^)

KK Comp bell at $229 / Powder coat @ $197 (Have a powder coat, wasn't super excited about the handle, never touched a Comp bell, KK or otherwise)

CFF Fitness via Amazon @ $197... (Handle will be enormous, but I've been snatching the 40 from them with the big handle. But will the handle be even bigger with the added weight...?)

Ugh, this should be easier. Found a few on Craigslist, but that is a crap-shoot at best.

Sorry to be a bother, folks. I plan on keeping this bell for quite some time. Its about 2 years per 4kg for me, at the current rate.

@Miguel

If you use Facebook, you might have better luck (or confidence) in the Marketplace as opposed to Craigslist. It's still a crapshoot but a nicer more friendly crapshoot.

Also, you can try looking at your local fitness or sporting goods stores. I originally picked up a KB from Dick's Sporting Goods (Ethos Brand) and it was surprisingly nice. They sometimes have online sales and the 40kg is their max weight but $149 with free shipping. I'm not sure about the longevity but I don't drop my KB's, nor do I throw them outside.

Yikes! How is that????
I have only picked rogue bells up directly from their store and they were really well priced. I bought another off a friend, a 32kg for $80, which was probably about $20 less than new.

Shipping was almost as much as the bell. =O

Ader feel the best for me-I like the wider handles and the grip.
I sold my Rogues and Perform better--I find their matte finish too slippery.I also liked the old DD bells.

Experiment--there are many to choose from.

I bought all ADER as I have huge hands and the bigger handles let the bell sit on a better spot on my forearm. The RKC bells and ones with handle windows of that size dig right in my wrist bone especially on the 28kg and up bells.

I was wondering how these bells were, quality wise, as the price on Amazon is excellent! Thank you, @Steve Freides

I have 5 Rep Fitness kb's. Will be adding more. Very happy with the quality, price and shipping cost. For me it was bit cheaper to buy directly from their website. Plus, when do that they get all the revenue from the sale vs giving a big percentage to Amazon. Amazon makes enough already.

@Miguel
Kettlebells USA has a discount program for military, law enforcement, fire and EMS, although the website doesn't say how much the discount is. Kettlebells USA Paradigm Pro Elite is my favorite bell, although not the cheapest.

Other vendors may also have military discounts or cut you a deal if you contact them directly and ask.
