recorded a set of 1H swings.

(sorry for the low quality. uploaded from my phone. Will change it to a higher resolution after work)

Guess there are a bunch of errors. Help me correct them!

Lastly, is the form ’safe’?

They look pretty good to me. I would try to keep your shins a little more vertical and sit back into your hips a bit more, but you look very comfortable with the weight.

Thanks for feedback! To keep the shins more vertical I guess one pointer would be to shoot the hip more back before I sit back?

If you're new to swings then you're a natural. Nice timing of the hip hinge.

Direct the kettlebell forward. I see the kettlebell going up. Directing to forward move challenges your packed shoulder and entire back muscles.

Maybe doing this close to mirror is subconsciously directing the kettlebell upward and not forward.
For a note, just for contingency plan, keep relative distance from mirror. Recently I've seen a kettlebell flying 7 feet ahead slipping off from my student's hand doing one arm swing.

Nice swings! I'll offer that your head is a bit forward at the top of the swing, which can aggravate the traps after a while. See if you can get into that standing position with the crown of the head reaching up, neck in line with spine, eyes looking forward. Keep up the good work!

Yes, those two things often do go together.

Great, thanks!

Have tried to start S&S like four times since 2015 but I´ve only been doing it about 2-3 weeks everytime. This time I´m gonna do it! Thank you!

Good point! Have not paid much attention to that Before. I´ll move back a few meters from the mirror!

Thank you Anna! Looking at the video, you are right .. don´t know why its forward. Will work on that!

To conclude: Hips more back and sit more into the hips, more vertical shins, directing the bell more forward and keep the head in a straigh line with my neck at the top. :) Thank you all!

To add to @Anna C 's cue... Imagine a pane of horizontal glass being held just above your head. Just "get tall" and break the glass at the top of your swing.

Also, don't swing 3 feet in front of a mirror... 7 years bad luck (or something) if your hand slips. :)

Otherwise, I agree... they look pretty nice.

Will try to work on better head/postume at the top!

7 years of bad luck sounds like a bad plan! ;)

Recorded sets with the 28 today. Tried to sit back more and keep the shins more vertical and projecting the Bell forward. Head still forward a bit.

Not too bad!
Have you tried swinging barefoot?? Your weight looks as if it shifts a little to your toes.
Also, where is your gaze at the top of the swing? It looks as if your eyes are down. Bring them forward and get tall.
Gaze leads movement so where your eyes go, your head will go. :)

Swinging barefoot would be great, but I dont Think my gym would apprechiate it unfortunately. Might work in my socks? Will try it today! :)
Regarding gaze .. I definately look slightly down for some reason. Will keep my chin up from now on. Thank you Reneta!

Be careful about trying to change form for the better while simultaneously increasing weight - I'd stick with 24 kg, do what you want to do as regards sitting back into your hips more, and then increase the weight. As the weight gets heavier, your knees will start to come forward more, so this can be tricky to sort out.

But your swing does look like it has more hip involvement to me.

Thank you for your sound advice! I have got a lot of great tips in this thread. Will work on them Before I add weight. Thank you Steve!
