Hector has released his "Perfect KB Plan"

Afaik it‘s not available right now due to reformatting. Really looking forward to it (out of pure curiousity since I right now enjoy DKB work compared to SKB)

You are going to love it- I won't give away the contents- but it is solid programming. ;)
ps now I have to 'google' 'AFAIK'....wait I minute, I think I've cracked the code - 'As Far..."

It should be part of DKBM as one of the three bonuses and otherwise isn't available any more.

I purchased DKBM a few weeks ago and had a nice chat with Hec about "perfect KB". Therefore the information about reformating.

Just took a look again into the download section of DKBM and TADAAA, there it is now. Thanks for the crucial tip! Guter Mann!!! (y)

Total happiness right now! :D

I'm intrigued. I've Kettlebell Burn Extreme, Strong and MKM qnd I'm always cautious of chasing new silver and hopping programmes. I get Hector's emails and he knows his stuff.
I'm currently back on S/S after being ill but this looks interesting
How many days a week training does DKBM require?

I bit on this as well. Its really a great looking set of programs. If I had to sum it up, its like Neupert's stuff, but incorporating some of the more cutting edge StrongFirst science - more sophisticated workout to workout and week to week variability of intensity, waving the load, etc. The various programs also seem to build on each other nicely - you basically have 9 months of work planned out for you. I'm going to work through this once I finish my current phase of KB Strong!

BTW, Hector is super responsive over email to questions (and very helpful). If you're on the fence, I'd suggest shooting him a note with any questions.

Wesker11 - the prerequisites will be to have at least one pair of kettlebells- however, the programming does call for one lighter and one heavier pair of kettlebells. I am enjoying training with doubles, I'm in the last week or so of 'Dry Fighting Weight' and the strength & conditioning I've gained from doubles training is substantial. The only negative is when the bells 'clunk' together when I clean- now my beautiful babies have chips in the paint.......;(

Full disclosure, I was really sad when Geoff decided to retire in 2016. As fate would have it, Hector took me under his wing a year later. I am forever grateful and enjoy his programs.

p.s. strength plan001 is a game-changer.. If you have the dkb manifesto, sp001 and his snatch compendium, you are basically set indefinitely

It seems that you made some great experience with both programmes and they are def in my pipeleine.
Currently I am running through Kettlebell Burn Extreme again (still got 3 weeks but also have to wait for my creditcard to make the purchase).
I'm using 2x28 for both grinds and ballistics. If my number one goal is to get a big press (like pressing the beast once) what would you rather recommend? 001 or DKBM?

I meant like kettlebell skillz. Most I have ever done is KB FSQ and double MP. I really do not care to learn the double snatch if that is in the program.

@Wesker11
This is a quote from earlier in the thread:
For the most part it’s bells you can press 8-10/5-7 and for some you can snatch 4-6 times. I’m on genesis right now, love it. 701a/b are complexes based around what I assume is planstrong. There is Snatches in 701, there’s jerks in the 4th program.
So yes there are double snatches and jerks.

Generally, double skills are slightly more advanced then their counterparts with only one KB. So I would say you should have the technique down. I don't know exactly the exercise selection since I do not own the programmes, yet (got to wait for my creditcard to purchase them).
So, if the plan calls for double snatches you'd have to do double snatches otherwise you would not be following the plan anymore.
However, I would not say that you have to be able to master a certain weight. If your technique is stellar @2x12 then why not build up from there.
Personally I think everybody should achieve "Simple"-Status first before moving to a more advanced routine but that is just my humble opinion.
There are also a lot of people who started ROP before S&S was published. As long as your technique is on point I think you can always build up from there. Having achieved "Simple" might make things easier though because you already have a good understanding for your body and your personal joint alignement, movements etc.

I have yet to get a copy of "perfect"

single bell or double?

for double, get dkbm

Don't know if anyone has been following Hector's "Strong as Hec" site but I stumbled upon it last month. I've been trying to get steadily back into kettlebell training on and off all the past year. Been doing dumbbell/barbell work instead and nursing some injuries.

Did a round of the ROP last year and had hopes of doing another round of Strong and life got in the way and training got derailed.

After reading through Hector's site, I decided to use one of his free programs, "workout snacks" using the double bell clean and press. It's very similar to "Strong" which I like in that it gives a quick workout using a big bang for buck movement (Plan 803A).

About to finish week three day three and am enjoying a rekindling of kettlebell training. (I'm using double 36s, initially started with double 40s but realized quickly my base skill level and strength isn't what it was. Hell, I'm also 53 now!)

May use this 803A to jump start going into phase two of strong using the "short course" rather than "slow and steady" which I used my last time through and tackling phase 3 with the 36s which I didn't do.

Admittedly I miss Geoff Neupert and his writings and emails however between Hector and Chris Lopez, Geoff s style of programming lives on.

I just had a visit to Hector's website and came across a video where he uses Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu experience with the hip hinge part of the TGU.....that's the part where you try to "find" the floor from your thigh with the non-lifting hand. It is one area that I always feel the most vulnerable and where things could go wrong. Actually, the only time I ever had to let go and drop a KB on a TGU, was at that juncture. I allowed myself to get jerky and unstable and then off balance when hinging over. I went back and completed the move straight after that cock up with the same weight....so too much weight wasn't an issue.

He really has a brilliant and stable version of this section of the TGU and I'm going to experiment with it over this evening at practice.

Here's the link.

The deep hinge/hand slide is gold for heavy getups. I instinctively did this from the start, but helped my father-in-law with his getups with this tip.
