Hey didn't know where to post this, so I'll do it here. What are the requirements for SF to qualify a gym to be a SF?

Thanks

There is a "Become and Accredited Gym" link on the top right of this page: Gyms | StrongFirst
Thanks!! Just thinking about possibilities down the road. I love SF and I think it has great ability to transform lives. I live in St. Louis, MO. There are 4 instructors in the general area and I think it would be an outstanding addition to our area.

I think if it were only me I would probably hold the SFG I and SFL. But again, not trying to get ahead of myself.

Putting these two ideas together, when you attend SFG and SFL (see what I did there ;) ), try to attend one that is hosted in a StrongFirst gym. Spending the three days there gives you incredibly valuable insight into how they do things.

Ryan,

Good to hear this. Our area can use all the help it can get.

Are you in the city? I’m in St. Peters.

I would give this reply a double like if I could.

If I may suggest, our forum's PM facility works well. Create a PM including yourself, Jim, and look up the 4 SFG's and add them. Or create an email with all of you. If you do it on here, you're welcome to add me and I will do whatever I can to help make your StrongFirst gym happen.

Thanks Steve, but seriously I'm really nowhere close to this at the moment; just thinking about changing careers to something that I think I would love vs something I do for income.

This is a great suggestion. It hasn't been announced yet but seems like Chicago usually has one in April. It's driving distance and I have family there so I'd save money on travel and lodging. I see there's one in Milwakee, but again hoping for Chicago, at least fo SFG I. SFL will probably be a different story since there are not as many dates or locations provided.

Yes that's the one at The Dome, put on by Extreme Training (Master SFG Jon Engum). It's a great venue and I did that one in 2015 for SFG I. However, it's not in a StrongFirst gym -- they just rent that facility to host the big event. So if you want to do a cert in an SF facilty you'll just have to match the locations up with the StrongFirst gyms shown on the site, and then to confirm that it's actually being held there click on the Registration button for details about the event and it will show the Master instructor and the exact location.
