Looking for competition-legal collars for powerlifting, particularly ones that don't bump out after a bunch of deadlifts. Bar is Rogue Ohio stainless steel, Rogue 20KG Ohio Power Bar RA0692-SSDC

Thanks in advance.

Proloc collars are the most secure I've used.

I also find that the plates make a big difference. Standard iron plates have a lot of slop in the holes and fit loosely on the bar. It's tough to keep them from rattling loose no matter what collars you use.

Bumper plates that fit tightly on the bar are much more likely to stay tight through multiple sets and reps.

I'm still up for a recommendation. Rogue has something, 2.5 kg each or 5 kg for the pair, for $200. Love to spend less.

Eleiko IPF PowerliftingCompetition Collars - Pairhttps://www.strengthwear.us/collections/collars-1/products/eleiko-powerlifting-competition-collars

Have you looked at the Eleiko IPF competition collars? They're $99.00, not as pricey as I'd thought they'd be (their Olympic collars cost $250.00) and, knowing Eleiko gear, they'll almost certainly do the job. They're definitely competition legal, if nothing else.

Products | COC 2.5KG | Ivanko - Official Website of Ivanko Barbell Company

The Ivanko collars aren't crazy expensive either at $138.00 and I've heard very good things about their collars staying put with fairly rough usage.

I hope this helps.

I don't have the IPF collars but I do have the Eleiko IWF collars.

They don't budge even when I drop the loaded barbell from overhead.

@Steve Freides , are you planning on hosting a meet? I can understand wanting to replicate meet conditions but collars are taking it a bit far - after all, in competition you won't even load the bar yourself so the collars shouldn't matter to the athlete as long as they're tight. When it comes to the collars, I think the new, more innovative collars are better and more convenient than the older collars, even if the older ones are IPF approved and such. Rubber coating or such seems to work really well.

If you're dead set on the approved collars, check out the IPF approved list: https://www.powerlifting.sport/fileadmin/ipf/data/federation/Approved__List_2019-2022_Final.pdf

No. Just dissatisfied with my current collars, of which I have many, and figured that if I need to buy better, I might as well by what's competition legal.

For the last week, I've been using two collars on each side, and that seems to help.
