Hey guys. I'm currently doing the fighter pull up program and find I'm burning out. I am able to do 8-10 body weight pull ups so I started on the 6 cycle. I'm currently on the 8 cycle and can't hit the numbers. I should note that I'm doing a five day per week oly lifting program with a lot of barbell snatches, squats and cleans. So maybe my CNS is finally fried after all the volume. I've tried tweaking the program by doing the pull ups every other day, taking a week off between cycles, Etc. but it's still challenging. Does anyone have any suggestions? I'd appreciate your input. Thanks!

Forget about pullups for a while.

If you must do them, then forget about the Fighter Pullup Program. Instead, load yourself up with a little bit of weight, perhaps 5 kg extra, and do two triples or three doubles. That's it. Don't do it again until you feel rested, start with only twice per week and stick with that frequency for a while.

Actually, I have a question about FPU.

If we're treating this somewhat differently than regular GTG, then what are the rest intervals supposed to look like?

The higher the reps, the more rest is needed. I suggest couple of minutes (2, 3, 5, possibly more).
