I know a few people here have bought from Dale's Raw Foods - I've been a fan of their protein bars for a long time.

They seem to have disappeared from the face of the earth. Web site gone, YouTube videos gone, email bounces.

Does anyone know anything about this?

I placed and paid for an order of protein bars in January and followed-up in March by email. They replied that there were unexpected delays in manufacturing but my order would ship in a few weeks. I have not received the order.

They had long delays - we ordered in November and it was January before we got the order. I've known them for a long time, and they said it was an issue with getting supplies for the increased volume on their BOGOs, so they said they were making the protein bars on a permanent BOGO in order to be able to have a steady demand for/from their suppliers.

I was trying to order yesterday ...

This is sad. I have been their regular customer. Anyone has ideas for alternatives please share. Lately I have been trying RXBARs, and I like them.

Yes, alternatives, please. A quick look around finds carb count too high on most raw vegan bars, which is what Dale's were.

Dunno about Dales, in UK there are probably very similar things.
Make your own. ...
Roughly equal measures of dates and nuts of choice. 2 handfuls each for starters.
Chuck them in a blender/chopper and roll into golf ball size delights.
Depends on the moisture content of the dates....you want a nice rollable consistency, so too dry add more or add raisins or add an oil of choice, coconut, olive or a nut oil or peanut butter. If using hazelnuts, they release oil more than some nuts.
And customise to taste....
roll the balls in coconut.
Add some chocolate chips.
Little chili
Make them minty
Add whatever you like.
I made some yummy pecan and maple syrup....not much syrup needed.
Add protein powder. Creatine. Cbd.
Anything goes.
I buy nut bars out and about.
Rare that shop bought are better though.
Some dates come with a coating of glucose syrup, buying dry ones will require additional oil.
Create whatever macro content you like. They don't last long though, limited shelf life due to yumminess levels.
High in calorie for snack purposes maybe.

I had two outstanding orders from December/January. Got the same update (only after inquiring why they were 6+ weeks delayed) that raw material sourcing was causing delays. No response when I asked for another another month later, then discovered the website shut down last week. Fortunately I was able to file a dispute through my credit card company for a refund. Don't think they handled this well at all - no communication about these issues - even when they were continuing to take orders and (aggressively) promoting sales.

Absolute shame, as I loved the bars and haven't found a good substitute. Hope they get things sorted out and that all the employees land on their feet. That said, I certainly won't be supporting anything by Dale in the future after their 'take the money and vanish' act.

If I had time, I'd love to create my own in the kitchen, but my cooking/prep time has its limits.

@Abdul Rasheed.. ..tuck in.
I mentioned protein powder, I don't add that personally but you can if wanted.
@Steve Freides...... start to finish ready to eat, 10-15 minutes. Throw in the fridge for later. Zero cooking.
To make bars, rather than golf balls....Chuck it all in a tin, grease proof paper, heavy object, into fridge few hours, cut up, wrap in tin foil.
There's a naked brand in UK. Their cashew bar is just cashews and dates. A 200g bag of dates, a bag of mixed nuts or just cashews will make the equivalent of 12 bars by weight comparison of one bar.
Approx one third of cost, gram for gram.
There is a problem.....You'll eat 3 times as many! Oops....

Steve I have found that the No BS bars are quitr similar in that they use date paste and relatively simple ingredients. A little pricier than Dales BOGO but I think I like them better than Dales

Are these RXBars you're referring to? That's what a search on "no bs bars" brings up for me.

Thanks.

I found this forum after a Google search on Dale's out of business.

I had a very long delay between an October 2018 order and December 2018 delivery.

I also placed a good sized order back in early December 2018. I followed up repeatedly in Jan and then in Feb and was given the same story that many others on this thread mentioned about back ups on orders due to ingredient supply issues. I asked for a refund and tried to cancel my order and was told to follow up again in March if I had not received my order and they would move it to the front of the waiting line and fill it immediately. When I reached out again in March to my email contact, it bounced back and I discovered they had disappeared. I was furious!! I loved the bars, but there is no excuse for this “take the money and run” practice, all the while still aggressively promoting their product. I would sometimes get several emails a day! If this is how their customers are treated, I can only imagine how the employees were left. I wouldn’t ever support another Dale’s venture. I’m still smarting from the loss of both the bars I ordered but never received along with the $$ I paid for them. Just disgraceful in my opinion!
