I’m doing this experiment.
Introducing The Croissant Diet - Fire In A Bottle

My track record for maintaining food logs is abysmal. This time around, it will be updated mostly with pictures.

Why am I doing this?
Because for the first time in years, I feel motivated to shed some lbs.
When my focus was DL events, I stayed between 127 -130. Right in the middle of my weight class.
I’ve maintained that weight range for a couple years.

Last year I found a new hobby. Competitive Stair climbing.
In Powerlifting, staying at the higher end of my weight division was an asset.
Climbing 100 floors? Not so much.
Like my pal @offwidth says “I have to carry my engine”.
Check out some of the elite stair climbers.

I could Deadlift most of them!

I want to improve my race times. I have the strength. Time to get a smaller engine.

Bigger engine...smaller chassis

Bigger engine...smaller chassis
Thanks for the correction.
My goal was going to be small engine with a big chassis!

Speaking of chassis’s...
Weigh in this morning was 129.6.
Waist measurement, looks like about 28.5.

I’ll update my weight and waist info every two weeks.

Dinner was steak and sweet potatoes.

The tenderloin was from Lone Mountain Wagu About
Before dinner I had cheese and crackers. The crackers were made from corn, no oil.
Couple glasses of Pinot Noir.

Dinner tonight.
Charred Brussels sprouts, buttered rice, ground beef chunks.
Original plan was to flatten the beef like a Smashburger.
Turned out like kind of like semi-smashed bricks.
Couple glasses of Malbec and some cheese.

This is my new favorite snack.
Cheese, corn crackers and sometimes, a mandarin.

Effie’s corn crackers.
The ingredients fit into the CD.

I’m not sure if this no to PUFA, yes to stearic acid will result in losing some lbs.
I do know this this is a delicious way to eat!
I’ll do a weigh in and waist measurement next Friday.

Brad Marshall, the author, wasn’t 100% compliant on the CD.
Once a week he ate Mexican food. And occasionally had ice cream.

I’m not having Mexican food or ice cream (although both are good eating).

My non compliant foods will be adding dessert on Friday and Saturday.
Mini desserts. I love mini desserts.
Tonight will be mini cupcakes and mini macarons.

Sunday is usually the night my husband and I go out to dinner.
As Brad says, it's tough to dodge the PUFAs used in restaurants.
I think pizza would be the best option. Pizza is on the gray list of foods, minimal veg oil is used in the dough. I know a Neapolitan style place in town. The crust will be thin, with minimal ingredients.

Changed plans for dinner.
Instead of pizza, we went to a place that uses local ingredients. That cooks it’s eggs in butter.
Omelet with cheddar, green chili and mushrooms. Toast with goat butter that I brought in my purse. That reminds me, the butter needs to go back in the fridge.

I can’t wait until today’s meal.
It’s going to be funky!
30 day dry aged ribeye....funk.
Topped with blue cheese...more funk!
I’ll take a photo if I can control myself.
Who got the funk? I will around 6pm!
