Hi everyone,
What do you think about mixing those principles of training:

-Everyday GTG on multiple exercises
Push-ups, dips, pull-ups, crunches, bw squats (pistols). The idea isn't to focus on one exercice, but to be active all the day by doing many easy sets of different exercises (far away from failure, always explosive). I know some tactical units train like this.

-4 times week: A+A for 20-30 minutes (kettlebell swings*5, or KB thrusters*3)

-2 times week: LSD (biking or hiking)

Did some of you experiment this type of training? What are your remarks?

Best,

I am currently working on A+A push ups, with GTG pulls ups and L sit practice alongside OS work and walking for LSD. (I'm taking sometime to rest my knee before returning to proper Q and D work). So far so good, just listen to your body and be careful not to overtrain! However, there are more knowledgeable voices on the forum that can advise you.

@njrick1 thanks for your answer. Do you get enough HR with the push ups to consider it as cardio (between 120-140?)? For me it's nearly impossible on short sets.

Yes, as you said with GTG on multiple exercises, the main problem is avoiding overtraining.

Best,

Personally no, but I only perform 5 reps on the minute for an average of 15 minutes. If I up my reps and sets I'm sure it would get my heart rate going. However, I want to ease into to give my tendons time to adjust. This is especially a concern with the GTG work (floor l sits in particular). Some accessory work like dead bugs, hollow holds and hip brigdes probably get my heart rate up more!
