Great content in the SF newsletter this month by D Toshner on how he has used SE protocols to prep for mountain climbing. Incorporated walking snatches in a really clever way, though TBH it’s the first time I’ve seen walking snatches used in a program. Not sure how to link to email but I’m sure it’ll be posted as an article soon. Great stuff.

I cannot find any information on the walking snatch. What does it look like? Is it about snatching the bell and walking with it overhead for some distance or some sort of a contralateral movement functional-patterns style?

My take on the article is that it is not like the KB Athletic Drills snatch lunge/walk. To start off you perform a snatch, then take a step. Keep going for 30 mins, switch hands as necessary, measure your distance covered. You may add time to the session when you have significantly increased your distance covered from previous session.

Here's one version. Looks challenging and fun!

That’s a snatch and lunge. I believe they are saying that you snatch and literal take two steps forward with the bell overhead. Snatch again and repeat. It’s about building stability and strength in the overhead position.
