Sorry, the presses are not part of 1.0, it's going back to the 24kg weight in a kind of "cycling" way like they do with the heavy weights that is from 2.0.Dang. I only have the 1.0 book. Is it linear progression with military presses or going by feel?
Ah, okay. Well I’m doing more of a Program Minimum anyway. At some point might condense the movements back together, but now swings and get-ups on separate days.Sorry, the presses are not part of 1.0, it's going back to the 24kg weight in a kind of "cycling" way like they do with the heavy weights that is from 2.0.
I never really understood what the Program Minimum is.Ah, okay. Well I’m doing more of a Program Minimum anyway. At some point might condense the movements back together, but now swings and get-ups on separate days.
Me neither. The progression was never well explained, but that really was a break in program for ROP. I just do the movements on separate days and go by feel.I never really understood what the Program Minimum is.
Ah okay, so it's basically do some swings and getups, generally speaking with the 24, right?Me neither. The progression was never well explained, but that really was a break in program for ROP. I just do the movements on separate days and go by feel.
I do swings with the 25 kg, 31 kg and 40 kg bells at the moment. Get-ups with the 25 kg and 31 kg bells.Ah okay, so it's basically do some swings and getups, generally speaking with the 24, right?
If I had any interest in teaching, then I would totally do it too!I still have every intention of getting my SFG I and eventually SFG II
Yes, I'd fail right now. I'm not trying it until I'm sure I can pass... this might not actually ever happen. We'll see!If I had any interest in teaching, then I would totally do it too!
I don't know if you looked at the numbers, but after the original investment it's pretty cheap to maintain. You have to pay lump sums, but I prefer to think about things in terms of value per unit of time.
Assuming that when your SFG 1 was about to expire (after 2 years) you went for your SFG 2, then it breaks down to about $66.50 a month for the first 2 years of Certification as a SFG 1 ($1595/24), $54 a month for the next 2 years as a SFG 2 ($1295/24), and then $14.54-20.83 a month to maintain it after that ($349 for the online certification and $500 to re-attend a certification weekend).
It's reasonable enough that I may do it some day for the camaraderie! [Assuming that I get to the point where I could pass the requirements].
Good point though. Maybe it's better just to be an enthusiastic student and to leave the serious stuff to the professionals. I'm just an amateur. If I had any interest in teaching, then I would totally do it too!

I've always thought that you have a charismatic vibe when you write about exercise. Even if you didn't want to end up training people, I could see you writing articles.Good point though. I finished the Norseman series yesterday. Hilarious!I do swings with the 25 kg, 31 kg and 40 kg bells at the moment. Get-ups with the 25 kg and 31 kg bells.
I’m glad you liked the series. It’s one of my all time favourites. I think it was only filmed in English.I finished the Norseman series yesterday. Hilarious!
I guess they tied themselves in a knot though as regarding plot, since they killed off nearly everyone (including Froya!) at the end of season 2, and season 3 tells the story leading up to season 1. I guess there is nothing left to tell, which is too bad! I heard the series is finished!
Is it filmed uniquely in English, or do they film it in other languages (I would have thought at least in Norwegian) too?
Jarl Bjorn is a Canadian actor, and I could see how they were making some jokes related to his role in Vikings. In Norsemen he meets a much happier fate than in Vikings - lucky man this time! Hahaha!
