Perhaps seek medical advice from a doctor...

You asked what you should do... That was my answer...

It’s almost impossible to diagnose something like this over the internet, and the majority of us here would be loath to do so.

My second answer you might like even less. Stop doing what you are doing if it is causing you pain.

And believe me... I am not being flippant here. I come from a decades long background in rock climbing and have experience more than my share of finger injuries. Something poorly, or misdiagnosed and resultantly mistreated can lead to chronic issues.

Rest-up and ice... see what happens...

We don't know if you have a simple overuse injury, in which case you should stop doing what's causing you to get hurt, or if it's something more serious. Your first course of action should be to stop whatever makes it hurt and see if your condition improves - if so, great, then your doctor visit is optional; if not, the doctor visit should be mandatory.

Rest for a while and see if the pain goes away. If not and if it's interfering with your daily tasks, visit a doctor to get it checked.

If you're in a country where it's not a total pain to get medically checked out, I would do that as a priority. And change things up so you can give it some proper rest in the meantime. Nothing that hurts.

This is advice I never would have taken in my twenties but there we go.
