Greetings all!
I will be attending the SFG 1 cert at St. Petersburg, Florida in less than two weeks (Sept. 24-26). For those that have, how did you take your own chalk to certification? At home, I have chalk in a plastic coffee container, which is fairly large and not practical to take to the cert. I have liquid chalk, but not a real fan of it.
I know there are 'chalk socks', but I have never used one. For those that have taken their own chalk to this event, what did you do?
Your input is much appreciated, thank you!

I didn’t use any chalk, however if you have a small block of it, it would be easy enough to have in a small Tupperware. That’s what I do. I’m not familiar with the chalk socks, but I bet they work really well.

If it is going to be really humid, you might want to test things out a bit.

And all the best on the SFG I. It was the best training I’ve been to hands down.

Back in the RKC days when Pavel was there, there was no shortage of chalk at the two certifications I attended. It was always available for anyone who wanted some.

During the grad workout, there were instructors running around with blocks of chalk offering it to candidates between sets.

But if you have a particular kind you like or are used to, or just want to know you'll always have it with you, it couldn't hurt to bring your own.

Get a climbers chalk bag and put a chalk ball in it. (If you really think that you need chalk that is)
Not having attended SFG1/2, this would be my plan.

I’ve got a climber’s bag with blocks of chalk. I hang it on my pull-up bar, a Squat rack, or even a doorknob for workouts now. Cinch the drawstring and throw it in a gym bag and it travels well. Though I really only use it for select bells (my 18 and pair of 24s with raw handles) because I’m getting more powder coated bells and don’t see a point for them.

Definitely bring what you think you might need without expectation of it being provided. Be prepared. I mean you don't need to bring a food truck and a five-gallon thing to rehydrate, but some small snacks, chalk, a towel, etc - I'm sure the materials you get before you go will tell you what to bring, but yeah... The only thing I wish I had brought to my first cert that I forgot was cold medicine - it made for a longer weekend than necessary.
