Hello Bodyweight enthusiast and Instructors -
Hope you all are doing fabulous.
Been a bit since Ive been active on the forum or writing article which use to be a monthly task. This has been a busy year as my only child heading off to college this next week. new stage/journey.
Any way - I wanted to see how everyone is doing, what you are working on and what you are interested in learning? This will help with the inspiration for the next SFB article/s.
Thanks in advance and look forward to hearing from you guys.

Hey, Karen! You're one of my favourite calisthenics coaches -- I picked up a technique from one of your articles and it became a staple of my training (alternating legs in the bottom of a pistol squat). I now do a similar thing with my pushes and my pulls.

I'm always working on weighted pistols, weighted push-ups and weighted rows. If you have any sweet progression schemes you want to lay down, I'm all ears!

An idea I've been thinking about is taking summers off from the weights, and doing a lot more locomotive endurance work, and maintain/build strength with GTG bodyweight exercises. Guidance on how to structure that, what guiding principles to use, etc. Thanks!

I would like to see a complete SFG calisthenics system, not just an adjunct to kettlebells and barbells. The big six SFG skills and then the big six of SFG calisthenics would be awesome.
Come to the bodyweight course or cert. At my most recent SFB, we also worked on pullups, handstand pushups, hanging leg raises, plus what you might have expected: pistols and one-arm pushups. (And I'm forgetting some things, too, no doubt. ...)

I'll definitely consider it! I was thinking something more in terms of a book or collection of articles.

I'd love to see some stuff about lower body exercises that involve your adductors.

Things like cossack squats, plie squats, and sumo squats.

(I've been surprised at how much my overall hip mobility has improved since doing more adductor work, especially rotation)

Hello Karen,

Have been doing your 1 arm pushup program for a while now and slowly but steadily getting closer to a floor level pushup.
Any further articles regarding OAPU would be welcome - how about how to maintain OAPU after achieving it and spending more time on other programs ?
And generally, how to maintain skills when not doing a specific program ? ie I have lost a few pullups now that I do not practice them as much.
