Kettlebell Iron Cardio

Hi Brett in your book there is no recommendation on how to combine iron cardio with Q&D… would iron cardio work after 033 push ups and swings?
I'm not sure how they would combine actually.

Trying two days a week IC and two days a week Q&D or rotating two days IC with one day Q&D (next week two Q&D and one IC) would be my first thoughts but keep an eye on the shoulders and recovery.

Q&D 044 snatches would combine well—similar to S&S combo.

I bought Iron Cardio from a link on StrongFirst the other day. I got the PDF just fine. What I don't understand is several people here have referred to videos. Page 7 of the PDF includes hyperlinks to two YouTube videos (demonstrating the cheat clean, and fast & loose) but these are free on YouTube, and so I'm wondering if there was some other set of videos people are referring to?

Email StrongandFit support to get assistance watching the videos.

The PDF with the video is targeted on the basic programming.

Thanks for your reply Brett
What is the 044 and S&S combo?

@Brett Jones was recently on Pat Flynn's podcast to discuss Iron Cardio, and it was a very good listen. One phrase that jumped out at me, I believe it was Brett referencing Pavel, and I paraphrase here (added emphasis my own)

"....[a session] should feel like a good manual labour job. Can do it much of the day, it's challenging but doable".

So, after two weeks of BTS 3.0 with Kettlebell Strongfirst as the S&S in between, I was granted permission by my wife to bring a kettlebell at our holiday!

So, I did a die-roll Iron Cardio: rolled 4 the first day, 30 sets (24 minutes) and rolled a 6 yesterday and did 44 sets (22 each arm in 32 minutes) with a 32 (4RM press). Plan is to keep doing this every other day until we go back home!

Love the sessions and will keep doing them when life comes in the way of BTS!

Excellent—keep us posted

finally decided to add the snatch to the clean, press, squat baseline. definitely stepped it up a notch, love the variability possibilties.
only small change i may make is switch press to a jerk or push press, due to some nagging shoulder issues that seem to occur during a strict press. liking this program

I've enjoyed A+A style programs with grinds in the past, including the pistol squat program from the March 3 SF Newsletter, and the Jody Beasley's pushup program, and as a grappler I want to incorporate A+A style endurance training into my barbell lifts (clean/snatch, presses, squats, maybe some pullups/rows), and I'm thinking about getting the E-book, and maybe doubling up with Built Strong Minimalist.

Is this the program for me?

Stephen B—Yes I think the Iron Cardio program could be a good fit for you.

@Brett Jones big fan of IC here and it has been the mainstay of my training over the past 12 months. Thank you!

In terms of your recommendation to use a 5RM bell, the press is the determining factor for me. Would you approve the use of a seesaw press in conjunction with double cleans and front squats to facilitate the use of greater weights overall?

The see saw press can be used as press R > Press L go on to the squat etc.

I have just bought the ebook and read 23 pages and im allredy in love BIG time :)
I cant wait to read on and see how i can do the protocol because i believe the 16kg is around my 10rm but my 24kg is too heavy for other things that swings as it is now.

Just a qucik Q after reading the PDF.
I like it basic, minimalistic and easy to understand.
How does this looks like:

C&P+Squat.Pulup 3 times a week?

Is it enough to wave the time pr session(40-20-30min) og should i also wave the rep or how could i do it?
