Looking at Pavels Total Packaging weekly Template and wondering how to implement Strength Days with Q&D 033,
I the original article Pavel has you doing conditioning work the day after Strength/Grinds. But as Q&D is power based, would it be better to do Q&D the days before Grinds or run is as written?

I've used this in the past with a decent amount of success. you just have to adjust your training so that 1 day a week you keep the snatches/swings volume low and hit your singles right after.

I had asked Pavel some questions about using Q&D (pushups/swings) with my other training.

For general health, he recommended it fasted in the morning.

For power, he recommended it at night the before a strength session the following day.

So I would keep the strength days as listed in the Total Weekly Package and perform Q&D as the conditioning days (especially if using the Snatch protocol).

Otherwise, you can use Q&D pushups/swings as your "warm-up" on strength days followed by low-volume strength work as recommended in the All-Terrain Conditioning manual.

This wasn't in the Q&D book, but it was recommended that you can follow Q&D with low-volume Kettlebell Presses (~10 total reps: 2-3-2-3) at 75-85% and occasionally go heavier.

And you can follow that with Deadlift singles (3-5 total singles with 70-90%) on days when the volume on Q&D is 3 series or less.

Squats and pull-ups were recommended on your other days.

That was during the All-Terrain Conditioning seminar in February 2019. I'm not sure how much, if anything, in the manual changed since then.

Thanks heaps for that reply. Just a question you do the deadlifts on the low volume days as in the minimalist DL program and do the squats and pull ups on the high volume days or on the days you don’t do Q&D? Sorry for my confusion

Squats and pull-ups on the days you don't do Q&D.

Is that GTG or some other type of program? Easy strength?
No specific guidelines or programs were mentioned. So you could pretty much do whatever you wanted!

Remember, Q&D (and S&S, Kettlebells StrongFirst, etc.) are minimalist training programs that can be used with any other programs or sports training.

That leaves a lot of room to do whatever you want. For me, that means three total-body sessions each week plus Q&D (or S&S or KBSF, etc.).

How would you program TGUs after 033?

If doing TGU, then I wouldn't also do low-volume presses on the same day.

In that case, I would do 3-5 per side (EMOM) just like they are done in S&S.

Otherwise, I would use them as a warm-up (2-3 per side) on my other training days with low-volume squats and pull-ups.
