But seriously, I wonder if he trains with added weight.

If he doesn't I'd be very interested in what his 1RM weighted max is.

I think because his goal was the world record, he was probably focused on hours of high reps pull ups training and eating celery and tuna exclusively. ;-)

It looks like his next goal is to be the American Ninja Warrior. I wonder what kind of training he needs for that?

Grip endurance is huge for ninja warrior... also body control... like gymnasts have. You have to be able to manipulate your body while hanging by your hands.


The guy who won last year was a professional rock climber.
