Lady Strong!

@pet' - cool, I love sauna. Cleaning body and mind sounds great to me, you did very well!

Today's practice:

- foam rolling and Original Strength
- presses: (1-2-3)x5, singles with 18kg and the rest with 16kg
- chin-ups: (1-2-3)x5 = 30 reps total
- pistols - GTG
- stretching

Training took me 2 hours today. I have been working on my technique:

1) cleans - I've found a lot of things to work on
2) presses - staying tight during the movement = no leaning back and to the side
3) hollow position in my chin-ups (you can see my last 3 chin-ups on the video below)

I have a lot of to improve but important is that I have got better today.

Today's practice:

- foam rolling, Original Strength
- one-hand swings, 10x10: 16,20,20,20,16
- get-ups: 16,20,20,20,16.
- pistols practice
- "Escape" program

For the first time, get-ups seemed heavier than swings.

Despite the soreness I did well today, I am kind of surprised. I concentred primary on tension and pre-tension today.

Today's practice:

- Original Strength
- a few wall planks (I am playing with it)
- presses: (1-2-3)x5, singles with 18kg and the rest with 16kg
- chin-ups: (1-2-3)x5 = 30 reps.

Hello,

Eh eh, simple but not easy ! Do you also do push ups in that stance ? It is a very good tool to put a lot of tension (otherwise we collapse).

Kind regards,

Pet'

@pet' - It was the first time I've tried the wall plank - I've read that it can help with staying tight in the rack position so I gave it a try, and I had a feeling that it worked!

I have tried also one-arm wall plank but, like @Shahaf Levin wrote - "that's gonna take me some practicing"... - I slid down ;-)

Yesterday I didn't feel well, so I went lighter in training:

- Super-Joints
- one-hand swings, 10x10: 16,20,20,16,16
- get-ups: 5x 16kg

Today's practice:

- presses: (1-2-3)x5, singles with 18kg and the rest with 16kg - presses felt strong today
- assisted pull-ups : (1-2-3)x5 = 30 reps
- deadlift (I am teaching workshop tomorrow so I need to refresh my technique): 60kg x5, 70x5, 75x3, 80kg 2x1 (on the video below)
- "Escape" program.

Hello,

I have tried also one-arm wall plank but, like @Shahaf Levin wrote - "that's gonna take me some practicing"... - I slid down ;-)
So, as promised, I tried...and miserably slid too ;-) !

I wonder if some kind of grip on the wall and some kind of shoes could help eheh. Then it will also take me some practice ;)

Kind variation,

Pet'

@pet', I don't think it is about shoes or wall... -> you can do it, or you can't ;-)

First of all - sorry for not being present at Forums:
  • I had my winter holiday
  • I went through an "offline experiment" = having my cell phone switched off and being offline for one week (yes, exactly 7 long days and nights) - I honestly recommend it to everyone!
I took a break from social media but not from training. I took kettlebells with me into the snowy mountains.

During the week:
  • I've read a lot: Extreme Ownership, The Way Of The Iceman, Tools of Titans - being offline has its good side
  • I've written a lot - surprisingly my mind was more creative than usual
Every day looked pretty the same. In the morning: cold shower, WHM breathing, meditation practice, Pu-Erh tea with my Pavel, Super-Joints and my training. Later - some activities on the fresh air and sauna at the evening.

My week's practice:

Monday: presses: (1-2-3)x5, singles with 18, the rest with 16kg, windmills

Tuesday: goblet squats: 16kg 3x5, double swings: 16kg 10x10, get-ups: 16kg 5x5, windmills

Wednesday: goblet squats: 16kg 3x5, presses: (1-2-3)x6, singles with 18, the rest with 16kg, pistols: GTG

Thursday: goblet squats: 16kg 3x5, double swings: 18kg 10x10, get-ups: 18kg 5x5, pistols: GTG

Friday: goblet squats: 16kg 3x5, presses: (1-2-3)x6, singles with 18, the rest with 16kg.

I feel like reborn, I completely restored my energy.

You live a good life, Justyna! Thanks for sharing... I am inspired.

@Anna C I am really glad you wrote this, because I asked myself "what does it mean to have a good life"? Being in a peace with myself, enjoying simple things, living in the present moment...

Thank you!

Today's practice:
- morning recharge : Original Strength, halo, arm-bar, bent-arm bar, hip flexor stretch, tactical frog
- presses: an easy day: (1-2-3)x5, singles with 18, rest with 16kg
- assisted chin-ups: (1-2-3)x5

Simple & short. Generally, I am not the strongest person on Monday, so I am glad it's an "easy day" today.

Hello,

I don't think it is about shoes or wall... -> you can do it, or you can't ;-)
Yes you are perfectly right ! I tried with shoes to get a better grip, and...well you know...i miserably fell again ;) I can barely maintain the position. Nonetheless, it remains a good full tension exercise !

I enjoy your way of life : health, well-being, taking advantage of all simple things.

By the way, nice picture ;)

Kind regards,

Pet'
