Kettlebell Goblet Squat with Competition Kettlebell

Hi Strong First Community, I am currently transitioning from the Timeless Simple challenge to the Timed Simple challenge from the Pavel Tsatsouline S&S programme. For the warm-up, Pavel suggests to replace Prying Goblet Squats with Weighted Goblet Squats. His advice is to aim to use the same...

Bodyweight What do you think about warm up?

Most of the coaches are saying about importance of warm up before training. From Pavel's old books I remember that he was not a big fan of doing warm up. Kettlebell What is the purpose of Goblet Squats in the warm up?

I apologize if this has been covered elsewhere, but I am curious what's expected of the GSQ warm up. Are we supposed to actually progress in weight? Or is it just a prying movement?
