Hello,

When I do single leg deadlifts (barbell or kettlebell) I feel pain in my quads very similar to shin splints. The pain persists for up to an hour after I'm done with the exercise and affects my ability to walk or do other exercises.

Has anyone else encountered this? And do you have any possible solutions?

Thanks.

Edit: The pain seems to get worse the heavier I go. However the weights that trigger it are not very taxing. For example I can knock out an easy 8 reps with no struggle except for the shin-splint like pain in my quads. Very perplexing.

Wasn't able to get video but it seems like it was a form issue after all. Keeping the knees stiff until the bar clears them on the way down seems to mitigate most of the pain.
