Nutrition 16/8 Intermitted Fasting Question

First Post
Hello all, I'm following the 16/8 IF method. I know that by drinking espresso latte in the morning I'm breaking fasting, but if this latte is made at home using lactose-free and fat-free milk, am I still getting any benefits from IF, or am I throwing it all away? I'm also sticking to low-carb diet. I stop eating at 7pm at night, and drink this 1-cup coffee around 7am, so there are 12 hours of fasting there. Then, I don't eat anything until noon (lunch). I also found that most days I don't need to eat anything until dinner. If I do feel hungry between the 2 meals, I eat a few nuts.

Pretty much all the measurable benefits from IF come from caloric restriction.
So as long as you are in a caloric deficit it will be fine.
