If I read Warrior Diet by OriHofmekler would I better understand what you are doing with your diet ? Any other books I might read please ?

I think the Warrior Diet would help understand and so would his most recent book "The 7 Principles of Stress". So would reading up on food layering and combining. All it really is is keeping it very light during the day and fully compensating at night. For me it's about convenience and I just don't feel right eating a lot during the day especially because I'm on the move. I also feel that it makes my strength training feel more anti-fragile, it helps me prove that I can do my workouts regardless of if I have enough fuel or not.
 
Thanks Adam, I have reserved both books at the local library - we are very lucky I can borrow books from all over Australia from my local library with inter-library requests, means we have access to a huge range of books, just have to wait for delivery.
