Guess what? Tired again. Need to get to bed earlier.

- Hands still feeling raw. Maybe related to the ramp up of the DL? See if I get this same effect towards end of next week.

Karate practice. Went to the adult class today, rather than the usual family class. Had a guest sensei come in, he had some good pointers:
- body drive: stay low on the plant leg when kicking, think about driving all your weight into the opponents gut
- don't wait for the strike to counter - look for the tell, reach in first
- careful of keeping quiet hands on a kick, movement is a tell
- enjoy the light work. Not every punch needs to stop a man's heart, take advantage of slower work to feel fluidity. Good advice for training in general.

Longest run I've ever done.
Running this long on a treadmill is just generally unpleasant. But, had an ice storm the night before, outside wasn't an option. So gotta do what you gotta do.

- First set with 40 was wobbly again, second round much better. Maybe try doing the first round with the 40 next time? Force the body to respond to the heavier weight right away, rather than "warming up" with the 32?

Elbow is a little sore today from catching a hard kick in karate yesterday, but they held up to the TGUs pretty well. Hopefully that means my technique is improving.

- starting to have trouble maintaining hallow position in the last rep or 2 of each set. Will keep pushing as long as I can.

- Cue: don't rush. Refocus at every rep. Remember it's really 5 singles, as opposed to banging out 5 reps.

Just got the Flexible Steel book. Will give it a read, see what I can incorporate.

Have you incorporated this into your training? Have you seen any strength or mobility gains that you credit to it? Any other thoughts? (I'm considering this myself. I'm hitting up a few folks for some first hand feedback)
