Well, here I am again, sixteen months later...

I first started trying to train with kettlebells about 4 years ago. I've had to take several long breaks during that time due to tendinitis problems. And I had to do so again from September, 2019, to May, 2020.

When I started again in May of 2020, I could tell I had lost a lot of strength. I went very, very slowly for a while, doing just 20 swings thrice weekly for a while, trying to build up my lower back and shoulder strength.

In the fall I felt I had gained enough strength to begin doing some unweighted getups. By now my normal training is kettlebell swings and getups, three or four times a week. I'm up to 16 kg for get-ups and 24 kg for swings. But this week I started working in a few 24-kg get-ups and a few 32-kg swings, trying to get my body used to the additional weight.

I had a nearly fatal (?) charley horse (?) at about 4 o'clock this morning, so no leg work today.

Military presses, 24 kg: (2-3-5-8)x3
