My wife and I have spent the last two weeks preparing for, and having, our carpet replaced with wood flooring. This required carrying almost everything but the furniture out of our house into the garage. So, I've had no time for kettlebells but I still had regular workouts. ?
I've been swimming a little at the neighborhood pool recently, but I find that I'm often too winded to complete one lap (25m) in freestyle or butterfly. I've been doing swings for over a year, but usually I have long breaks between sets. I'm going to try to shorten my rests to see if I can build up endurance for swimming a complete lap. The pool closes in about three weeks, so I might not have enough time to see any results, but I'll try to build up my endurance for next summer.
10x10 Swings, 1H, 24 kg, 55s per set
10 Get-ups, 24 kg, 80s per set
5 Laps, 25m, Swimming.
Even though I'm getting a little stronger, when I swim at the neighborhood pool I feel gassed after just one 25-m freestyle lap, so I'm going to work on compressing rests during swings so I can get my heart rate up a little.
