I am starting out and I am looking for a solid bench routine for beginners. I am 49 years old and I have lifted before, but I am looking to focus on increasing my bench press. My goal is to bench 300lbs when I hit 50. Thank you.
 
@Frank Jones, welcome to the StrongFirst forum.

Allow me to second everything @Anna C said. Reload is a great way to start.

Pavel's earlier book, "Power To The People!", is also a fine way to start, and you can bench press instead of sidepress.

IMO, the customized training plan may be overkill for you at this point, but as Anna said, we need to know about what "I have lifted before" means in your case.
