Strength Kept Me Out of a Wheelchair

Steve, are you sure you have the link correct in this and the other thread? To me and my internet browser it seems you have an extra "%27http//" in the address. The other posts about articles work out fine.

On a separate notice, thank you and the collective for the blog section. It is a welcome addition.

I'm going through this again myself. I have a vertebra in back that just pops and breaks several times a year. It was never treated properly when I first broke it & it has compromised blood supply, so I'll probably be stuck with it for life.

Reading about your experience and your attitude always gives me inspiration to get back up and try again.

@Tarzan for me it's all about stability. I didn't stretch my lower back for years. Strength and even a bit of stiffness help keep things where they're supposed to be.

Disc rupture between l4/l5 & herniated disc between l3/l4 here. Was quite happy to walk without limp & move relatively freely until I read steves story 13yrs later & realised I could be strong again too. Currently on the way to owning the simple standard in s&s. Once achieved, it'll be another thing that the specialists of the time believed would not be possible. Thanks Steve for raising my bar.
