Optimal training for pistols, is, in my opinion, grease the groove.
Could you elaborate on why you think that? I would say that it depends on ones level of technique. I.e. how close to perfect form one is. For people new to the pistol I would recommend a standard n-sets x m-reps a couple of times a week before heading out into GTG.
