First reference to macrobiotics I’ve seen in forever. I’m a fan too. I like the philosophy, and the recipes.

10 days of number 7 diet, huh ;) but seriously, when i started macrobiotics, my mind was being still at the first time, and i can actually follow only 1 program for the first time.

Fitness Favorite:
  • The Naked Warrior by Pavel
    • Because it was the first Pavel book that I read years ago.
    • Because it's the only fitness type book that I've read recently.

Many great books above and I would add Brawn and Beyond Brawn for the influence they had on me in recognising that less can be more when it comes to training for hypertrophy.

Body By Science is easy reading and while I only dabbled with the super slow method for hypertrophy my experience did support it as a great option for people who are seriously time restricted.

Training books:
- Purposeful Primitive by Marty Gallagher.
It encompasses all parts of training including the mental part. Made me rethink all I thought about cardio. Brilliantly written.

- Olympic Weightlifting by Tommy Kono
Great instructions but even more so a wealth of wisdom and stories to learn from.

Non-training books that had a profound effect on me.
- Anna Karenina by Tolstoy
- Hamlet by Shakespeare
- The Brothers Karamazov by Dostoyeski

Pavels books, so many to list.

10/20/Life, Brian Carroll

Back Mechanic, Stu McGill

Gift of Injury, Brian Carroll and Stu McGill

Dinosaur Training, Brooks Kubik

My current favorite fiction author is Peter Clines
