I train for Victorian Cross and I am curious if deadlift two times in week will help me with my back especially with the lower part of my back. I use Victorian dumbbell press for Victorian and I like my special exercises with dumbbells for my static moves like Victorian Cross or Planche and I feel that Deadlift wi be good option, two times in week, maybe even one time in week.

Suffice to say that almost no gymnasts actually train the deadlift. Especially not to increase ring strength. instead they really on full on gymnastics training under the eye of a skilled coach. Perhaps some gymnastics now deadlift but historically none used weight training much at all.
I know I did not nor my contemporaries in the 70's and 80's
It's very hard to train for a specific gymnastics strength move without training the basics in ring skills as well
