In the Earl Liederman article about the gent doing the hand and thigh lift,the gent shrugs his shoulders after each rep of lift. I have never heard or read about Pavel recommending this. Will it affect the tension or anything? Seems like a good way to get a little extra out of the deadlift.
 
If I wanted to get something extra out of a deadlift I wouldn't be doing it heavy enough.

Another way to put it could be "why?".
