If I deadlifted 2x bodyweight and powercleaned bodyweight which is better for increasing power outout/ force production?

How fast is your deadlift?

F = ma

In this example, if your deadlift is half as slow as a power clean (highly unlikely; it's likely much slower), they're equal.

Anything slower than half as slow, the deadlift is producing less force.

If deadlifts were generally good at increasing power in athletics, and thus translating to things like vertical leap, power athletes wouldn't bother to power clean.

"The fact is, the power clean to bodyweight ratio is better at predicting vertical jump and 40 yard dash performance than any other method outside of actually jumping or running the 40."

"So whether your sport is football, weightlifting, or CrossFit, remember that the bench press and deadlift will help you build strength and muscle, but the clean and push press will help you display that strength quickly!"

Both quotes from Glenn Pendlay (Knock Them On Their Asses | T Nation)

Should tell you something about what lifts to choose for your goals.
