10x10 two-handed kettlebell swings (24 kg)

Notes: Light kettlebell work today. During the TGUs, I really took them slow to concentrate on the lockout of each phase.

6/1/18

3x5 Prying Goblet Squats (16 kg)
3x5 Bridges
3x5 Halos (16 kg)

10x10 kettlebell swings (36 kg) - Pattern: (10R, 10L)x5

2x1 TGU (36 kg)
3x1 Partial TGUs (44 kg) - Initial press only

Notes: For some reason my energy expenditure was much higher today than usual. I really wanted to get up to elbow more on the 44 kg TGUs but I'm lacking confidence when I expelled so much energy during the swings. Holding the bell for more than 5 seconds in the initial press position was tough enough.

Notes: My buddy and I had several craft beer brews yesterday. It was a fun day but really affected me this morning. Just took it easy today.

3x5 Bridges
3x5 Halos (16 kg)

10x10 kettlebell swings (36 kg) - Pattern: (10R, 10L)x4, 10T, 10T

Notes: I had a little bit of a late start today so I was feeling rushed. Swings went well but were tiring near the end. Still working on trying to get comfortable with the 44 kg bell. It still feels like a ton of bricks and I'm still working on confidence issues with getting the bell up to the next phase (i.e. to elbow).

Notes: (This entry made on 6/11/2018)... I don't remember much from this session but recall that it went pretty well.

3x5 Bridges
3x5 Halos (16 kg)

100 two-handed kettlebell swings (24 kg) - AMSAYC (52, 18, 15, 15)

Notes: Challenging swing session Saturday. At this point I need to look/research some tips to go longer on swings when I'm doing a As Many As You Can session. I'm good all the way up to about 40 some swings. After that, each swing gets harder on an exponential scale. I know there's Grevoy style but I haven't used it before and feel it would take away from my normal hardstyle swings.

EDG Cycle

Time: 37:00 (mins:sec)
Distance: 12.03 Miles

Avg. Power: 150 Watts
Avg. RPM: 81 RPM
Avg. Speed: 19.51 MPH

Max Power: 461 Watts
Max RPM: 123 RPM
Max Speed: 29.87 MPH

Polar HR Monitor Link - Note: The HR Monitor was started 3 mins earlier than the start of the cycle computer data.

Notes: Today's concentration was on sprints. I think I burnt myself out too early during the warm-up stage as I made the mistake to go all out when the instructor gave us the sprint cue.

6/15/18

3x5 Prying Goblet Squats (16 kg)
3x5 Bridges
3x5 Halos (16 kg)

10x10 kettlebell swings (36 kg) - Pattern: (10R, 10L)x5

2x1 TGU (36 kg)
3x1 Partial TGUs (44 kg) - Initial press only

Polar Beat HR Monitor Link

Notes: For today's inital press TGUs, I tried a new tactic today of tricking my body into thinking we were going to do a full get-up. I noticed every muscle fiber in my body reacting as if I was going to even though I knew in my mind I was uncomfortable with a 97 lb cannonball over my head with nothing but my own strength holding it up. It seemed to work very well and a tactic I should keep doing to get my get-up to progress.

6/18/18

3x5 Prying Goblet Squats (16 kg)
3x5 Bridges
3x5 Halos (16 kg)

10x10 kettlebell swings (36 kg) - Pattern: (10R, 10L)x4, 10T, 10T

2x1 TGU (36 kg)
3x1 Partial TGUs (44 kg) - Initial press only

Polar Beat HR Monitor Link

Notes: Okay training session today. My swings started out well until the 7th set where my energy levels were waning. I didn't have much energy to do the TGUs and I felt like the 2nd full set were pretty sloppy.

Avg. Power: Unknown
Avg. RPM: 84 RPM

Notes: The bike I was using was uncalibrated. When I was lightly pedaling, it said I was going about 22 MPHs. I couldn't trust the power and speed but the RPM reading seemed correct.
