Nutrition F' Macros?

I have come to the realization that if I pick foods with high quantities of micro nutrients, the rest falls into place and body just simply works better regardless of actual calories. Can anyone else confirm my theory that the body's systems perform with micro nutrients more so than macros?
 
I haven't read it Mike's book, but I hear Mike Dolche talk about that quite often. Unless you're training to make weight in a sport, I would say keep doing what you're doing.
