What are your thoughts on the advice to...
"It is difficult to advise what poundage one should commence with, but a STANDARD can be easily set by using a weight which will enable you to make 8 to 10 reps with a given weight."

This seems like an interesting way to program the getup!!

- star with relatively light weight
- do up to 20 singles per hand. Up to. When you gradually add weight, gradually cut the number of sets. S&S 5 singles total is imho the best MED - minimum effective dose.

Get-up rocks. Note: Dumbbell get-up is (or in this case, get-down get-up) is a great specialized variety, but in this case, kettlebell will be always my tool of choice number 1.
