Getting Back Into Wrestling Shape

Going forward, I want to try out something different. I'll be changing up my strength training. I'm sick of being weak and want to get back to, and exceed, my former strength in high school / college (back when I lifted regularly).

I got a second 24kg kettlebell recently, and I'm getting a barbell, weights, squat rack, and bench shipped to me soon.

Monday, April 12

48kg Front Squat - 3 x 2

^ pretty embarrassed by this TBH, but my core was quite shaky so I stopped short of going for three or more reps here

SL Box Squat - 7, 8

OHP - 20kg x ladder going up to 3 reps

Clean and Push-Press - 24kg x 2 x 5

Calf raises - Body x 3 x 10; 20kg x 2 x 8

Planks- 2 x 30s

Overhead carry - 24kg x 10s

Swings: 16kg x 2 x 20; 20kg x 15

KB Rows: 16kg x 2 x 10; 20kg x 2 x 5

Farmers Walk - 24kg each hand around the garden

Neck Ext - 16kg x 8

Double KB Front Squat - 48kg x 3 x 3

KB Clean and Jerk - 24kg x 5, 6, 6

One arm swings - 24kg x 2 x 10

Chin-ups: 3, 4, 3

Saturday, April 17

KB Front Squat - 48kg x 3 x 4

KB Clean and Jerk - 24kg x 4 x 6

48kg Farmer's walk around the garden

1-arm swing: 24kg x 2 x 10

16kg Neck Ext - 2 x 8

Chin-ups: 1 , 2, 3, 4, 3, 2, 1

Push-ups: 8, 10, 10, 10, 8

Planks: 2 x 30s
 
Monday April 19

48kg kb front squat - 3 x 5

Pull-ups: 1, 2, 3

Push Press: 24kg x 4, 7, 8

Rows: 24kg x 2 x 6

Wednesday, April 21

I got a barbell and a squat rack. However, I tweaked my forearm doing jiu-jitsu, limiting my ability to do upper body exercises

Barbell squat: 40kg x 2 x 5; 60kg x 2 x 5; 70kg x 2; 60kg x 3

KB Rows: 20kg x 2 x 8; 24kg x 2 x 8

Squat - 40kg x 3 x 5; 60kg x 3 x 5; 70kg x 3 x 5
