Bodyweight GTG & RM question

Hello
From what I understood from GTG protocol, pull ups should be done in 3-5 reps and 3-5 sets.
Pavel said that it should be around 50% of my repetition maximum.
So if my repetition maximum is 15, I should increase the numbers or stay on 3-5 reps but do it with weight?

Hello,

By SF standards, you could use weights to be sure to stay in the strength rep range.

@arielbe, it depends on your goal. If your goal is increased 1RM pullup strength, then 3-5 reps, even fewer reps, will be fine. But if your goal is reps, then about 50% of your maximum reps, e.g., if you're able to do 15 pullups, then you can GTG with 7-8 rep sets.
