Anyone know what causes people to pass out from DLs?

Same thing that causes people to pass out (much less commonly) on big cleans.

Too long of a Valsalva maneuver, blood pressure drops, lifter passes out.

It happens a lot less in weightlifting because the lifts are much much faster.

But I've seen guys standing up out of the hole from a difficult clean and have to drop the bar from the front rack because they got light headed.

I've certainly gotten woozy.
