Barbell Strength
12.30 “Morning” Session
Bench Press, 225, (2, 3, 5) x2, + 2, 3 (L), 25 reps

Training time: 16:00

notes: Late start, had to grab some groceries and slept in after yesterday.

2.00 Afternoon Session 1
Dead Lift, 315, (10×1), :15/1:45 work/rest, 10 reps

Shin work, kicks between sets, 200 total / 100 each leg, 30-40% effort

Training time: 20:00

notes: Playing with 315; getting used to it. Easy ups, some lazy kicks during the 1:45, repeat. Doubles next.

5.30 Afternoon Session 2
Pull Ups, +25, x2 (H), :10/1:50 work/rest,15 rounds, 30 reps

Training time: 30:00

notes: Had intended on 24 reps, went a few more, stopped at 30 satisfied and feeling like I could have hit 30 more. 30 reps Monday with 15 didn’t feel as easy, even if it was only doubles today. 35 on next heavier rotation.

8.00 Evening Session
Road work, veeery slow, finally, 2.5 miles in 33:00.

notes: It took a full week of running after a long while without to finally find a pace SLOW enough to maintain. I can go 500 miles to anyone’s door at 110 beats a minute at roughly a 13:00 mile. It is harder to keep telling my mind to stay that slow than it is to tell it to keep going at a sprint.

11.00 Morning Session
TGU, 80, 5x1x2 (H), 10 reps

Training time: 20:00

notes: Playing with the 80. Wasn’t terrible, but haven’t gone this heavy on a TGU in a long time (knee issues). Felt good, no active timer, just know from the clock when I started and finished.

6.00 Afternoon Session
OAS, 62, 1:(20 reps, :30/1:30 work/rest, 6 rounds), 2:(constant reps, 1:00/2:00 work/rest, 4 rounds) 262 total reps combining 1&2.

8.00 Evening Session
My sad elliptical

notes: No road work when I’ve got my little man. I’ll be on it instead this whole week.

Elliptical.

notes: No point in the late night road work to avoid the heat or things for my girls to be afraid of when it’s elliptical week.

11.00 Morning Session 2

Bent Press, 62, 1x5x2, 10 reps

Training time: 6:00

notes: Easy weight. 5 slow reps each side with a long bottom hold&squeeze. Heavy 2 days = back off couple of days.

4.00 Afternoon Session

OAS, 62, (10,20,5,15)x2, 100 reps, casual <10:00

Jump Rope, 1:00/2:00 work rest, 5 rounds, 15:00

Training time: 25:00

notes: Early evening, late afternoon, they weren’t done immediately next to each other but weren’t significant enough for a bunch of notes. Today was light, but busy.

notes: Ollie had a complete lack of appreciation for my limited effort. :10 sec was a poor estimate for 3 reps casual.
4.00 Afternoon Session
Deadlift (H), 345, (10×1), :10/1:20 work/rest, 10 reps
Training time: 12:00
notes: Heavyish singles. Easy ups with drop.
Back Squat (M), 205, (6×5), :30/2:00 work/rest, 30 reps
Training time: 15:00
notes: Just getting some reps in.
