Other/Mixed Hardest Conditioning Exercise

I will ask different question: Why the search for the hardest conditioning exercise? Why e.g. not the search for the most effective one, which will bring the desired results?

Isn't it a fun question? The most effective one is a whole another question.
 
Army selection tests - lots of weight on the back, running over the mountains, little sleep/ food and oh if you don't make timings you fail ha ha
Added to that any PT session carrying someone 50kg heavier than you, pushing trucks and basically never told where the finish line is...
