Doc Hartle, last weekend (on programming):"...so write it down. Plan the work, work the plan!"
Starting points to really get started. Seriously.
- Barbell world: PTTP
- Kettlebell world: S&S
There you have the plan already. Then work the plan. Reap great benefits over time and you will never look pack. It is surprisingly simple.

@banzaiengr, do you have a soft practice in your daily routine? Relaxed stretching, tai chi, yoga, meditation, etc.? It may be the missing ingredient for you if you don't have it.

No Steve, I do not. Interesting that you would mention that due to the fact that I was thinking about just today. Mostly in regard to strength, tension, and your flexibility.

Being stronger makes being flexible easier to achieve; the converse isn't true though.

Matt, I feel your pain! Way to many goals!

I do this, which has been working for me.
Almost every day I do swings. AKA S&S, but I have been changing the getups for other things.
Like bench press, wind mills, kettlebell press.
My number one priority is swings! Lite days and heavy days, every day I must swing.
