Other strength modalities (e.g., Clubs), mixed strength modalities (e.g., combined kettlebell and barbell), other goals (flexibility)

There have been many interesting posts on this forum recently about training modalities, including alactic, glycolytic, aerobic, A+A, et al.

How are these affected by eating modalities, including high carb, low carb, paleo, etc.?

I'm no expert but you'd probably have recovery issues training glycolytic or prolonged higher intensity on a ketogenic diet. Aside from that, the body can fuel a really big range of energy output on a wide variety of diets. Protein consumption is always going to be priority if looking to maintain or increase muscle mass.

I may be wrong, but I think if you'e not eating clean and within your calorie load you might as well put the extra calories into a muscle/mass building plan. By no means do I mean eat every thing in sight and make a pig of yourself.
