Other/Mixed How far is "too far" OR A thread about Overthinking Things

I take this phrase to mean "thinking in place of facing some other issue"

+1 to that - it's paralysis through over-analysis that's a problem, nicely demonstrated by @offwidth 's fable. If you are executing, and have the mental bandwidth to postulate and experiment while you do it, then over-think away.

That said, if your wife tells you "put down that @$*(ing CGM and get over here"... then it's time to put down the CGM.
 
I don't there's such a thing as 'thinking too much'... I think it's more about feeling bad and staying stuck in a 'mental loop' that is the issue (at least it has been for me in the past).

Also if you have to ask, "Am over thinking things?" then the answer is, "Yes". I know this because my wife told me and she's been training me for years ROFL
