Kettlebell How to Start Incorporating Single arm swings into S&S

I am on my 3rd week of S&S. Starting slowly and trying to nail down the movements and dealing with some imbalances in the TGU.
Anyway I’ve read the latest version of the book which is fantastic and very detailed. I’m still working on the 2 handed swing with a 16kg at the moment and feel I will be ready to start single arm swings shortly. I can’t see in the book how to start. Is it a gradual introduction like you do when you go up in bell size ? Do you only introduce them when completely comfortable with the two handed swing ?
 
How i did it and still do when going up a bell
Is just start swingin with 2 hands and when i am in a groove (2-3 reps ) i let 1 hand go
I follow along with the free hand ready to grab the bell with it if i feel something is off
Then i put the free hand back on before park the bell. I feel that starting and ending with to hands and following along with the free hand helpe me keep the right form when i started swingin wirh one hand
I dont know if this is the right way but it works for me
