Hi! first post here and i hope some of you could help!

I am 35 years old, have been training on and off for the last 15 years, now i am based in Tanzania, Africa.

I recently started training hard again (maybe pushed it too much) and doing lots of pullups (not top form, some kipping), and about 1 month in the training , doing them every workout, during the session i started feeling a tension in my forearm (not near the elbow, but in the middle of the forearm, in the inner part), the tension became pain, very localized and acute.
then transformed becoming a pain that is generalized throughout the arm, also on the wrist sometimes, wspecially if i work a lot on a laptop.

i stopped immediately training upper body, now i am 3 weeks in.
About a week ago i started naproxen anti inflammatory...

i wanted to ask...is it tendonitis? is there any exercise i can do? i stopped completely but i would like to continue working out ...maybe using resistance bands> what about pushing type of exercise?

thanks in advance!!

Riccardo

It could be tendinitis. Just saying my guess, I’m not a specialist and you should get examined by one.

Have a read of this two threads:

Not exactly middle of forearm, but palpation of pronator teres helped me in a similar situation.

Also, there is a device called a Hand X Band that I have heard good things about. Have not tried myself, but I've sorta made my own with some of those big purple rubber bands that the produce folks wrap broccoli with.
