In yoga, when talking about inversions and twists, instructors talk about the lymphatic system. Downdog, Handstands, etc.

I like Skin The Cat for strength and flexiblity. I will often hang upside down for as long as possible. Awesome for the grip because a little extra incentive to hold on. I will also hold wall supported handstands 2min plus.

I like inversions and hangs at the beginning and end of barbell training, and play rings with the kids often. My three year old loves to spin and swing on the rings.

After inversions I feel great.

What is happening?

I feel the adrenaline after doing inverted pull-ups and I will go from an inverted pull-up to a back lever.

I don't know much of the science when it comes to inversions but they are fun.

My son has always loved gymnastics, swings on a playground and carnival rides. He loves when I pick him up and carry him all sorts of ways. Research vestibular system and see what you can find.

I do this stuff on my rings a lot too. It probably relieves the stress of gravity pressing down only one way on your body. This might be why it feels good.
