Finally, no shoulder pain! Everything in my shoulder is a mess. I fell over 30 feet 17 years ago off the iron with 200 feet of welding cable on my shoulder. I have had 2 surgeries and they say it is what it is. Shoulder replacement means no more powerlifting. That isn't going to happen.

I know this doesn't seem like much but for over 16 years my shoulder has been so bad this is great! If I can keep up this progression hopefully by May 20 meet I can get 240-250 bench in the meet. It is a long way from my 3@385 in 1984. Progress ever so slowly. Any progress is better than no progress.

My right knee didn't feel right until my last rep. If it felt as good on the first rep as the last rep I would have done a set of 3.

Too much pressure on the back with the heavy weights. Decided to do some backoffs with a lighter weight.

Cold and raining. Shoulder hurts but pushed through it. I have lost about 10 pounds over the past 2 weeks and have lost about 10 pounds on my bench but working back up, slowly.

Tuesday I will go for 5@350, maybe 2 sets of 5@350! Hard for me to breathe with weight on my back after my heart attacks. I keep trying though. They have a heavy bag hanging a few feet away from the power rack. I went at it twice between squats and a couple of young turks wanted to know if I use to box. Yep, plus I taught MMA until about 15 years ago. If I decide to do it again I will definitely wrap my hands and wrist as I almost hurt my left wrist. Maybe I should just stick to squats!
